Something Obama signed into law, on top of my health premiums going up 10 fold as the private sector is bracing for ObamaCare, and that I will once again be getting penalized for being married on my '11 taxes and that whatever return i may have been getting will now be reduced by 1/2 or more if I read the bill right etc

and I was thinking next year would be the first year in a while that I didn't owe more taxes once I filed... I have been claiming 0 deductions across the board (have been for several years...even though I am married with two children) and have been putting additional money in every paycheck to offset would extra I would have to owe. Hell, this year, the IRS said that even though I paid what I owe, it still wasn't enough and they hit me with AMT.

I have also capped my 401k contributions to the federal allowance levels... I literally have no other way to shelter my income from taxes under the current situations...

I don't get any child credits, nor is any of my student load interest deductible...

For the life of me, I can't understand HOW the gov't thinks that because I am at a certain income bracket, that I don't have debt, and shouldn't benefit from the various tax breaks that everyone else is getting (child credits, etc). I live in a pretty expensive area to begin with (as far as home values, etc)...so what I make here isn't what I would make back where I was raised (SC).
